Oasis House is currently progressing through the Ofsted registration process. We welcome enquiries from local authorities, commissioning teams and professionals who would like to discuss future placement availability. Referrals will be accepted once registration has been granted.
If you are a social worker, placement officer or commissioner, we would value a conversation now — about a child you are trying to place, and whether Oasis House could meet their needs in the future.
Oasis House is a small children’s home for up to two young people aged 5–17. It is deliberately small, so daily life can be calm, relationships can be steady, and care can be shaped around each child.
Our model is trauma-informed and relationship-based, drawing on PACE — playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy. We are designed for a particular group of children, and we are honest about the needs we are not set up to meet.
- Small by design Up to two children at any time, so each young person is known well and never lost in a group.
- Trauma-informed, PACE-led We seek to understand what behaviour is communicating, and to respond with steadiness rather than sanction.
- Relationship-based Change happens through safe, consistent relationships. Keeping the same adults around a child is a therapeutic decision, not a rota one.

Our approach to care
Trauma-informed, attachment-aware and relationship-based. Care is planned around each child, reviewed regularly, and distress is met with de-escalation and repair rather than punishment.
Education and development
Education is not an afterthought. Our model supports learning across the full age range, including SEND and EHCP arrangements, working alongside placing authorities, Virtual Schools and schools.
Safeguarding
Safeguarding is the organising priority of the home. It will operate within the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards, with safer recruitment, thorough training and independent oversight designed into how the home runs.

Start the conversation early
An early conversation costs a placing authority nothing, and it is the fastest way to find out whether we could be right for a child.
- Now A professional conversation. About a child you are trying to place, whether our home could meet their needs, how our model works, and likely timescales.
- Once registered Referrals and placements. We cannot accept referrals until our Ofsted registration is granted. Until then, every enquiry is treated as a professional enquiry, not a referral.
Please do not include information that identifies a child in an initial enquiry.
